More than Dance works with individuals, groups, schools and in all areas of the wider community.

More than Dance is a company development from Beyond the Barricades and Dare 2 Dance, which are co-ordinated by Kevin & Oonagh Atkinson.
This is an innovative company, based on extensive experience of delivering high quality creative programmes in both school and community environments.
Dance is the tool used by the company to encourage growth and development in areas of self-esteem and personal/group communication.
We use a fusion of dance styles to enable and encourage participants to be creative with their body, mind and spirit.
We use dance to introduce new perspectives on living, beyond the security of the familiar - looking at life skills, self awareness, self confidence, self expression and group participation.

We offer programmes to support the Primary National Strategy aimed at Key Stage 1 and 2 - social and emotional aspects of learning - 'good to be me'.

We work with whole staff groups to develop communication, look creatively at difficulties with young people, team building etc. Previous work involves enhancing liturgy preparation with Wakefield Diocese, Sheffield Diocese and Leeds RE Co-ordnators.
